AI Business Coaching

One-on-one executive coaching to help you navigate AI adoption, build a strategy that survives contact with your business, and lead the change yourself — from the people who wrote the maturity model other coaches are certified in.

AI business coaching builds your own ability to lead AI adoption, rather than handing you a consultant's plan to implement. Coulee Tech coaches owners and executive teams across Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa and Florida, led by Rod Holum — creator of the AI Business Maturity Model and a Certified AIBMM Master Coach.

The distinction from consulting matters more than it sounds. A plan you were handed expires the moment the market moves; judgment does not. Coaching suits leaders who expect to be making AI decisions for years and would rather not need us to make each one. Most engagements are a standing session with the owner or leadership team, working on the decision actually in front of them that month.

We have had to write this down

Four books on AI adoption for business leaders, built largely on what actually happened at real companies in our markets rather than on vendor case studies. Three more on cybersecurity, which is the constraint that decides what AI you can safely put your data into.

AI business coaching is designed for business owners, CEOs, and executive leaders who want to understand AI's potential for their organization and develop a strategic approach to adoption—without getting lost in technical details.
No. Our coaching focuses on business strategy, use case identification, and organizational readiness—not technical implementation. We translate AI concepts into business language you can act on.
Most engagements include an initial assessment, followed by regular coaching sessions (typically bi-weekly) over 3-6 months. We cover strategy development, use case prioritization, change management, and implementation guidance.
Consulting delivers a plan; coaching builds your ability to make the plan yourself. Traditional consultants often hand over a report and leave. Coaching works alongside you so the judgment stays in your business after the engagement ends. Most organizations want some of both — see our AI Adoption Consulting page for the analysis-and-roadmap version.
